Home and Community SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) Services

SEIT services are provided by certified special education teachers of an approved preschool program on an itinerant basis to a preschool student with a disability, at a site determined by the board of education, to:

  • Provide specialized individual or group instruction directly to the student; and/or
  • Provide consultation to the child’s teacher to adjust the learning environment and/or modify instructional methods to meet the individual needs of a preschool student with a disability who attends and early childhood program (e.g., a regular preschool program, a day care or Head Start program).
CPSE Evaluations

Bilingual Care is a New York State Department of Education approved multidisciplinary evaluations program (MDE). Our services  are funded through NYSED and are provided at no cost to pre-school children (ages 3-5) eligible through the NYC Department Of Education – Committee on Preschool Special Education. Licensed professionals perform all testing in a caring and positive environment. If your child is eligible for services an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is developed based upon the needs of the child and family. We provide the following types of evaluations:

  • Occupational Therapy Evaluation
  • Physical Therapy Evaluation
  • Psychological Evaluation
  • Educational Evaluation
  • Social History
